James Raeburn (variously: Raymond; Raebon) Petrie lived in Midlothian,in 1841. He is my grandfather Clarence petrie's Grandfather. His son Lewis James Allan wasborn on December 10, 1857, in St Kilda, Victoria.St John and St Cuthburt Church, Edinburgh- Gravestone of Mary Ann Petrie- James' mother.This gravestone brings the Petrie and Raeburn names together. Mary AnnPetrie is said to have married 'James Raeburn'. Relevantly, 'JamesRaeburn Petrie' was born in 1833 (a year before Mary Ann's death). It isnot known who James Petrie's parents were, but this gravestone mayprovide some clues.
